Getting started

Set up your account, sign in, and optionally connect Jira Cloud.

1. Sign in

Open Sign in and use the method your workspace allows: email link, password, or Google / Microsoft when your admin has enabled them.

2. Connect Jira (optional)

Go to Settings and connect your Jira account. OAuth connects GumStory to your Jira Cloud instance. You can use GumStory without Jira for local projects and test cases.

3. Create a project

From the Projects page, create a new project. Give it a name. If you use Jira, link it to a Jira project key (e.g. KAN, PROJ).

4. Use the tools

Open a project for the dashboard. Quick create adds items from the dashboard. Work Assistant turns pasted text into structured bug, story, or test-case drafts you can edit before saving.

Questions & answers

Do I need Jira?: No. Local projects and tests work without a tracker.
